Your Finance Story

My mom who is 75 is moving in with me next month and I am preparing my house and my entire life for this new change. I have kids and with my mom being older and the house not so big we all have a lot of adjusting to do in the next weeks after she moves in. It's going to be as drastic a change for her to be with us after living alone for so long as it is for us to have her now be a part of our everyday lives.Hopefullywe make itsuccessfullythrough this transition period; I really want my mom to feel wanted and loved in our home. She's been living alone for 4 years now and I hated not being able to care for her all that time, this is my chance to take care of her and make sure she eats and goes to the doctor and get her medicine every day.

One of the other things that I am doing in preparation for her home coming is looking for over 50 life insurance coverage for her. I know she had a life insurance policy a few years back with a really big company but I guess somewhere along the line shecouldn'taffordit anymore and she let the policy lapse. So my number one priority this next week is getting different rates on over 50 life insurance and getting the paperwork ready for her to sign. I think that at over 50 life insurance is one of the most important things that she must have, it's every bit as important as her health insurance so I just get all the quoting and searching done so as soon as she gets here we can get her a new policy.

I really hope that my mom will be happy living with us; I know she has been very lonely living all alone and so far from all of her children. Once she had her over 50 life insurance policy and I can keep her doctor’s visits and medicine on track I hope she can stop worrying so much. Me and my girls really want to make the remaining years of her life as happy and peaceful as we possibly can. I want to take care of her the way she took care of me and my sister when we were little girls and we can't wait for her to get here next month.
