'Hello everyone, its a lovely day isn't it . I hope you all got here without too much difficulty. Well as you know we are gathered here for a seminar on life insurance companies. My job is to tell you how to find cheap life insurance quotes.

It is clear by the fact that you have attended this seminar that your company has sponsored that you want to learn more about how to access cheap life insurance for you, your partner, and your children .

Hands up those of you who only thought that cheap life insurance comes in leaflets through your letterbox, that's about half of you. Hands up those who think the Sunday paper advertisements offer the cheapest life insurance and now, what about television advertisements? Who believes they point you in the right direction for cheap life insurance? Finally how many of you have searched online?

Just as I expected hardly a handful of you have searched the Internet for an insurance deal. Yet in the uk there are thousands of companies who don't advertise on television or in newspapers or in flyer's through your letterbox. You are receiving a fraction of the real choice that is available to you.

In today's climate you need the cheapest insurance available and also in this climate insurance companies need your custom. I have set up around the room some computers and I want you to divide into four groups and take seats around a computer it doesn't matter who uses the computer as long as you can all see what is happening as I talk you through. OK.

Right You will see a search bar at the top of the page. I want you to type in Cheap life insurance. Is everyone OK with that? Now press enter and wait as it loads the information you are looking for. OK Now find the first insurance comparison website. So you are looking for a company title with the name comparison in its title. No hitches so far so good. Now click on that website and it will come up with a form which you fill in to declare your options. Now don't worry. At this stage you are still not committing yourself. Remember you are only looking for quotes to compare. When you have filled in the form press enter and it will take you to all the insurance sites with the options you have selected. Right I'll leave you to look at at those sites, make notes if you wish I'll be back in five'.

I left the class buzzing with internet at their new found skill. I needed to make an urgent phone call and find out how dad was doing.

'Mum, its me ,I've just nipped out to phone you, how's dad doing?'

'He's not good love, I've been with him most of the day.They said I can visit anytime now. He's slipping away ,the doctor said its just a matter of hours, I've just popped home to freshen up but I'm going straght back.'

'Oh mum,are you OK?'

'Yes dear, don't worry about me'

'I'll come to the hospice straight after work'

'Ok love bye bye for now'

'Bye mum'

Poor dad , I hate to see him suffering. I'll get back to class and finish it early. When I got back they were all relaxed and chatting .

I completed the lesson a little quicker that usual and dashed to be at dads bedside. I held his lifeless hand. Mum was at the other side of the bed holding his other hand.

The monitors rhythmic bleep punctured the silence.I could barely hear dad breathing now.

'Dad, I love you ' there was no response he was too weak. I was told the hearing is the last to go. Mum wiped a tear from her eye. I was sat here realising I was actually losing the first important person in my life. I broke down,I didn't want to lose my dad, but I had no choice ,it was awful. I suddenly realised the true heartbreak behind life insurance.
