Working in a call centre, I had experienced all sorts of things depend

Working in a call centre, I had experienced all sorts of things depending on the contract we had at the time. The latest was insurance for motor trade. This was new to me as I had not dealt with insurance before.
I didn't do cold calling, I never liked it. Ijust accepted incoming calls from clients who were interested in insurance for motor trade. Well, that was the idea but you did get all kinds of calls saying, if you deal with this insurance then why don't you deal with home insurance. I had to explain that we specialise in insurance for motor trade only.
One day, I had a call for a quote so we started the application process. As always, you explain that calls might be recorded for training purposes and go through your terms, the client just kept saying'Mmmm' like they reallywere not listening but as long as I got a response I kept going.
Asking the usual questions relating to insurance for motor trade they told me that they had be banned from driving but still wanted to be insured! I asked when the ban was up and he told me he had another 18 months before he could apply for his licence. I found this strange as he wanted trade insurance but was banned from driving.
I put the customer on hold and spoke to my general manager who alerted the police and told me to carry on with his application. the police were going to look into it, but to get all his business details so we could pass them on.
Speaking to the customer again, we completed the application process and he decided to pay by monthly direct debit so we set all that up and I said goodbye to him.
Going to see my manager, I asked why somebody would want insurance if they are banned for so long and he explained that he was well known to the police and they believe he his still trading in the motor car business and driving. he explained that if the car is insured, the car is less likely to be picked up for him not having a licence so he could carry on driving.
This really annoys me, as I pay my insurance, have a valid licence and a valid MOT certificate and it is because of people like these that our insurance goes up every year.
The police watched this man and caught him driving again, his car was taken and crushed to stop him doing it again.
